Graphics but no graphics
Beware the return of post new-age fashion, punk and flashy, intended for moth-eaten members of the fringe of the 1980s is making a comeback! This can be scary for many, especially the older ones who remember and are aware of the errors of judgment in the way they dressed. And yet we liked that – who didn’t get caught in the clownish wave for rock stars of those years. But don’t be alarmed, the graphic spirit of this new wave has simply been inspired by it. Even if visual creation takes a hammering with an esthetic originating from non-educated, raw, spontaneous graphic art, it will become one of the new trends of the moment. So why strive to look for new visual inspirations from the established artists when non-reference can become a system of new visual experiments. It will be hot this summer, but anyway I will get out my big red and green woolly from Benetton, as we never know what might happen. Concerning the shoulder pads, they will have to wait a little longer…
