Extra-ordinary Worlds
In each and every one of us, the child that we once were lies forever dormant, just like Antoine de St. Exupéry; this great man who found a way of remaining a child all his life. Perched on the shoulders of our childhood, to give us the illusion of being taller or stronger, we think of ourselves as adults, when we are actually big kids! The source of our joy, our spontaneity, our creativity, childhood is also the source of our sensitivity, our vulnerability, our fears and distress. Just like in the French film “La guerre des boutons” a trivial rivalry could turn into a world war, childhood is also perhaps the source of excessive or irrational behavior, and can lead us to behave in ways that we don’t like.
